Here at Rookwood Lawn Tennis our aim is to make tennis open and accessible for all ages and abilities, in a friendly and informal environment. Whether you play once in a blue moon or five times a week, you are welcome to be part of the Rookwood experience.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US
Opening with two courts in 2016, Rookwood Lawn Tennis Club remains the only tennis club on the Manhood peninsula to accept both one-off public bookings and annual membership. The aim in setting up the club was to provide an accessible and affordable facility open to all the community. Over the years demand has increased, to the extent that in October 2023 we built and opened two further courts.
The future is bright at Rookwood. Head coach and club manager Aidan Hickman oversees an ever-growing coaching programme aimed at adults and juniors of all playing levels, supported by a dedicated committee who gladly give their time to the club.

To book a tennis court at Rookwood please download our bespoke club app via your app store or via one of the links below.
If you are a member you will not be charged.
The hourly court cost for a non-member is £8.

MEMBERSHIP
Rookwood Lawn Tennis Club is open to both members and non-members. The advantage of membership is that for regular players there is no booking fee for courts.
For one-off or irregular players who are non-members, court bookings can be made and paid for via the Rookwood App which can be downloaded from your app store.
COACHING
Here at Rookwood we offer coaching for all ages and abilities, in either group sessions or 1:1. Head coach Aidan is LTA Level 3 qualified, as is Keith Savage, our part-time coach at Rookwood.
